For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

Christ is the true Messenger of God, sent to make the Father known.

3. The Faithful Witness of the Truth

Jesus came into the world to bear witness unto the truth of God.

John 18:37 (KJV)
To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth…”

All truth is found in Him, and through Him God speaks clearly to mankind.

A faithful witness remains true even through suffering and sacrifice.

Philippians 2:8 (KJV)
“And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

1 Timothy 6:13 (KJV)
“…Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession…

He testified of God’s righteousness even before rulers, and remained faithful unto the end.

5. An Example for All Believers

Jesus is the perfect example for every servant of God who desires to walk in truth.

1 Peter 2:21 (KJV)
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.

Those who belong to God are called to follow the Faithful Witness.

6. The Faithful Witness Who Leads the Church

Jesus remains today the true and faithful Witness, guiding His people.

Revelation 3:14 (KJV)
These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God…”

He is the eternal testimony of God’s truth and the Head of His Church.
