The ruler of this world

1. The Bible Clearly States That Satan Is “The Prince of This World”

Jesus Himself acknowledged the existence of a wicked spiritual ruler over the present world system.

“Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.” (John 14:30, KJV)

This “prince” is not God, but Satan, who has real influence over the world.

2. Satan Is Called “The God of This World”

The apostle Paul explains that Satan blinds people and prevents true faith.

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not.” (2 Corinthians 4:4, KJV)

He is called this not because he is a true God, but because many follow his influence.

3. The Present World Is Not Part of Christ’s Kingdom

Jesus clearly stated that His Kingdom is not part of this corrupt world system.

“My kingdom is not of this world.” (John 18:36, KJV)

This implies that the current world is under another temporary rulership.

4. Satan Has Already Been Judged, Yet He Is Still Allowed to Act

Jesus declared that Satan has been condemned, but his influence continues until God’s appointed time.

“The prince of this world is judged.” (John 16:11, KJV)

The judgment is certain, but the final removal comes at the end.

5. The Whole World Lies Under the Wicked One

The apostle John confirms that the world as a whole is under Satan’s influence.

“The whole world lieth in wickedness.” (1 John 5:19, KJV)

This explains the global corruption, violence, and false worship.

6. Satan Offers Worldly Kingdoms and Authority

During Jesus’ temptation, Satan claimed authority over the kingdoms of the world.

“All this power will I give thee… for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.” (Luke 4:6, KJV)

Jesus did not deny the claim, showing Satan has a permitted authority for a time.

7. God Temporarily Allows Satan, but Is Not the Author of Evil

Scripture shows Satan can act only within limits set by God.

The example of Job is very clear:

“Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand.” (Job 1:12, KJV)

God sets boundaries. Satan is not equal to God, but a controlled adversary.

8. Satan Rules Through Deception and Lies

Jesus taught that Satan is the father of lies.

“He is a liar, and the father of it.” (John 8:44, KJV)

This explains why the world is filled with false religions, ideologies, and spiritual deception.

9. The World System Is Opposed to God

The Bible describes the world as being in conflict with God.

“The friendship of the world is enmity with God.” (James 4:4, KJV)

“Love not the world… for the world passeth away.” (1 John 2:15–17, KJV)

The present world system is corrupt and temporary.

10. Satan Is the Leader of the Powers of Darkness

He rules an organized realm of spiritual wickedness.

“We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities… the rulers of the darkness of this world.” (Ephesians 6:12, KJV)

The world is influenced by these demonic forces.

11. Satan’s Rule Is Temporary — God’s Kingdom Will Come

God has promised that Satan will be removed completely.

“The God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.” (Romans 16:20, KJV)

In Revelation:

“The devil… was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:10, KJV)

Satan’s rulership will surely end.

12. True Believers Must Not Belong to This World

Jesus said His disciples do not belong to the world under Satan’s control.

“They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” (John 17:16, KJV)

Christians must remain spiritually separate from this system.
